Questions & Answers
Frequently asked questions
New to car audio? Start with the basics below — everything is explained in plain language, no experience needed. Then: how pricing, payment, shipping, fitment and warranty work at this factory-direct store. Anything not answered here: email sales@pen-hui.com — the factory's Alibaba profile lists a response time of ≤1 hour.

Start here — car audio basics
What is a DSP amplifier, in plain words?
It's two things in one box. The amplifier part makes your music stronger and cleaner than the car's built-in stereo can. The DSP part is a small computer chip that fine-tunes the sound — it decides which speaker plays what, how loud each speaker is, and the exact timing — so the music sounds balanced from the driver's seat. In short: an amplifier with a built-in sound tuner.
What do “channels” and “watts” mean?
A channel is one speaker output. A 12-channel amplifier can power up to 12 speakers — or fewer speakers, with some outputs combined for stronger ones like a subwoofer (the big speaker that plays deep bass). Watts measure power: more watts generally means the amplifier can drive bigger speakers louder without straining or distorting. The watt numbers in our listings are the maximum power figures printed in the factory catalogs.
What is a head unit? And a digital instrument cluster?
The head unit is the stereo in your dashboard — in our catalog, a touchscreen unit that runs Android apps, navigation, music and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto. The instrument cluster is the display right behind your steering wheel that shows your speed and fuel. A digital cluster replaces the old mechanical dials with a modern LCD screen — that's what our 48 cluster models do, each made for a specific vehicle and year range.
What does “plug-and-play” mean?
It means the product comes with a ready-made cable (a “harness”) shaped for your exact car model. You unplug the car's original connectors and plug ours in between — no cutting wires, no permanent changes to the car. It's the easiest kind of install, and you can remove it later and put everything back the way it was.
What's the difference between a component speaker set and a regular speaker?
A regular (full-range) speaker plays all sounds from one unit. A component set splits the job: a larger speaker (woofer) plays low and middle sounds, a small speaker (tweeter) plays high sounds, and a small box (crossover) sends each sound to the right speaker. Splitting the job usually sounds clearer — that's why the BOSSTICH sets are built this way.
Installation — what to expect
Can I install these products myself?
Honestly: we recommend a professional car-audio installer for almost everything on this site. Installation means removing dashboard or door panels and working with the car's power wiring — a good shop does this every day, safely and quickly. Confident DIYers do install plug-and-play models themselves, but if you're unsure, budget for a shop to do it. Either way, confirm your vehicle fitment with sales first (see below).
Plug-and-play vs. hardwired — what's the difference?
Plug-and-play models (the vehicle-specific CARDA amplifiers) connect with the supplied harness — unplug, plug in, done, no wire cutting. Universal amplifiers (like the YAKUZA) are hardwired: an installer runs power and speaker cables and connects them to the car's system. Hardwired gives the most flexibility for custom systems, but it's a professional job.
What happens after the hardware is installed?
For DSP amplifiers, one more step matters: tuning. The installer uses the tuning software (on a PC or the head unit, depending on the model) to adjust each speaker's volume, timing and tone for your car's interior. The same amplifier can sound average before tuning and excellent after — a good installer includes this step.
What should I check before ordering anything for my car?
Three things: (1) your vehicle's make (brand), (2) its model year, and (3) its trim (version). Clusters and plug-and-play amplifiers only fit the vehicles and years printed in their listings. Use the Fitment Finder, write your vehicle details in your quote notes, and sales confirms the fit in writing before you pay.
Pricing & quotes
Why are there no prices on the site?
The factory catalogs list no prices, and pricing depends on quantity, configuration and freight to your location. Every product is sold by quote: add items to your quote list, send the inquiry, and sales replies with USD pricing. No price shown here is invented.
Some head units do show prices — what are those?
Three models carry seller-provided indicative pricing, marked as such in the Shop: SMART from $90 wholesale / $150 retail (4+64GB), CRYSTAL $285 / $400 (8+256GB) and KATANA $355 / $560 (12.5-inch, 8+256GB). They are guides to the level — your final price is still confirmed on your quote.
How does the quote process work, step by step?
It's simple: (1) In the Shop, tap the blue cart button on each product you want — they collect in your quote list. (2) Open the quote list, fill in your name, email and where the order ships to, and send it. (3) Sales replies by email with the price of each item in USD, the shipping options and how long it will take. (4) Only when you're happy with that written quote (the “proforma”) do you arrange payment — nothing is paid and nothing ships before you approve it. The How Ordering Works page shows the same four steps with payment methods explained.
Do prices include shipping and duties?
There are no list prices on this site to include anything in — instead, your written quote separates everything out: the product prices, the freight (shipping) cost, and what that freight covers are each stated clearly before you pay. Duties and import handling depend on your country and the shipping option you choose, so they're confirmed in writing on your quote rather than guessed here.
Can I order just one unit, or is this wholesale only?
The catalogs don't state a minimum order quantity. Send a quote request for the quantity you need — one unit or bulk — and sales will confirm whether they can supply it and at what price.
How fast will sales reply?
The company's Alibaba profile lists a response time of ≤1 hour and a 98.2% on-time dispatch rate. For the fastest quote, include quantities, your destination city, and vehicle year/trim for fitment-specific products.
Payment
Which payment methods can I use?
There is no online checkout and you never pay on this website. First you get a quote and approve it; payment happens after that, arranged with the factory and written on your proforma (the order document). In plain terms: wire transfer (T/T) — a bank-to-bank payment — is the standard for wholesale orders; PayPal is commonly used for samples and small orders; paying by card is coming once the company's US office is set up — until then, orders are paid by wire transfer or PayPal.
Do I pay everything up front?
Deposit and balance timing are set out on your proforma before you pay — for example a deposit to start the order with the balance before shipment is the usual wholesale pattern. Don't pay against anything other than the written proforma from sales@pen-hui.com.
What currency do I pay in?
Quotes and proformas are in USD.
How do I know the payment details are genuine?
Beneficiary details come from the factory sales team in writing with your proforma. If payment instructions ever arrive from an unfamiliar address or change mid-order, stop and re-confirm directly with sales@pen-hui.com before sending anything.
Shipping & customs
Do you ship to the United States and Canada?
Yes — this store is set up for North American buyers and the factory sells cross-border from Guangzhou, China. There is no U.S. or Canadian warehouse; freight method, transit time, duties and import handling are confirmed per quote, in writing, before you pay.
Who handles duties and import taxes?
They are confirmed on your quote — the freight option (to your port or to your door) and what it includes are stated in writing before you commit, so nothing is assumed.
How long does production and shipping take?
There is no single fixed number, and we won't invent one. Delivery time depends on what you order, how many, and which shipping method you choose — so it's confirmed in writing on your quote, together with the pricing and freight, before you pay. Orders ship from the factory in Guangzhou, China; US warehouse stock is planned for the future but is not in place yet, so nothing on this site ships from inside the US today.
Will I get tracking for my shipment?
Ask sales to include the freight method and tracking arrangements in your written quote confirmation — for PayPal orders especially, keep the tracking and a photo of the packed shipment as delivery proof.
Products & fitment
Will it fit my car?
It depends on the product. Universal products (most amplifiers and speakers) work in almost any car. Vehicle-specific products — the digital clusters and the plug-and-play CARDA amplifiers — only fit the makes and model years printed in their listings. The easy way to check: enter your vehicle's make and year in the Fitment Finder. Then write your exact model and trim in your quote notes, and sales confirms the fit in writing before you pay — so you never pay for a part that doesn't fit.
Are the head units compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto?
Per the catalogs: the SATORI, SMART, CRYSTAL and KATANA series list wired & wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Confirm the exact configuration for your vehicle on your quote.
Do the plug-and-play amplifiers need wire cutting?
The vehicle-specific CARDA models are listed as plug-and-play with a dedicated wiring harness for their platform (Toyota & Lexus, Honda, Kia & Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Maserati, Li Auto). Confirm harness fitment for your exact model year when you request a quote.
How do I know a digital cluster fits my vehicle?
Each cluster listing is vehicle- and year-specific (48 fitments, model years 2000–2025). Use the Fitment Finder, and note your exact trim in the quote — sales confirms fitment in writing before you pay.
How are the DSP amplifiers tuned?
The flagship DSP amps (YAKUZA, HI20) list PC and head-unit tuning software, with USB Audio (XMOS), optical/coaxial and HDMI inputs depending on the model. Each product's full specification table is on its Shop listing — open “Specs” on the product card.
Which BOSSTICH speakers match my setup?
From the catalog notes: Light Level RP62-A suits head units with TDA-7850 / 7851 / 7388 amplifiers or the original car system; PRO Level RP6A is built for an external DSP amplifier (or a head unit with the Infineon MA-12070); Master Level RP X63 suits cars with a professional amplifier installed.
A listing shows a spec sheet instead of a photo — why?
A few catalog entries are specification tables with no product photo in the source catalog. The listing says so and shows the full specifications instead of a substitute image. Ask sales if you need a photo of a specific model before ordering.
Warranty, certification & support
What about certifications and warranty?
The company's Alibaba profile displays an IATF 16949 certificate on file (design and manufacture of vehicle audio and video control modules), and CE is listed on product pages. No warranty terms are printed in the catalogs. If your business requires a specific certification or warranty term, ask sales before ordering so the answer is part of your written quote.
What if something arrives damaged or faulty?
Return and warranty terms aren't printed in the catalogs, so get them in writing on your quote before ordering — and keep your proforma, tracking and packing photos with the order. The factory packs strongly: per its Alibaba profile, “the empty box can support the weight of one adult.”
Where can I get manuals or install documentation?
Ask sales to include documentation for your models with the quote — several catalog entries are spec tables only, so confirm what documentation exists for your exact model before ordering.
